Planning a wedding is fun, right? Well... it's supposed to be. But, between the stress of the million decisions you have to make and the lack of sleep due to the stress of the million decisions, a girl could just about go crazy. So, in these moments of stress and sleeplessness, try to ponder this one...
How did you get here?
I'm not talking the meaning of life or the family tree your Uncle John has been trying to dig up for the past ten years. I'm talking about how did you get to where you are? As in, engaged?
It's going to happen several times in your life- one day when your little boy goes to preschool, or when your daughter gets married, or when you're sitting on a beach somewhere enjoying retirement. In those moments, it's all of a sudden going to hit you like a ton of bricks- a lot of things had to happen to get you where you are in that moment.
So, in this moment, you're engaged to be married. And even though the million decisions you face everyday make you want to pull your pretty little hair out of your sweet little head, it's important to take a step back and think about why you're doing all of this. If you're like me, I remember the very moment I first made eye contact with my hubby. Cheesy, I know. But, these are the kind of things you need to take time to think about. Remember your first date? Or how awkward he was when he met your parents? Or even that time you freaked him out by pausing in front of the jewelry store three months into seeing each other? Remember your fights? Remember the little things that used to be endearing and now aren't so much? Remember the feeling you felt when he asked you to be his wife? Remember all of those things... because with such a big day like you have coming, it's important to remember exactly why you're making all of these decisions- because you love each other and you want to grow old together!
Call me a hopeless romantic, but I guess I still believe in fate!
It can't always be typography and beauty tips, right? :)
